The Meiji Restoration of JapanQ

There once was a time when Japan and America didnt speak with each other. But thanks to US Commodor Metthew Perry that all changed. Perry basicaly bullied Japan into something called a Trade Treaty. This started when America needed Japans ocean ports to stock up on food, water, coal, etc. So Metthew Perry and the Americans slowly convinced Japan into signing the Trade Treaty.
This lead to Japan cummunicating with other countrys. Before the Treaty Japan stayed to there self. When they started trading and stuff Japan started to Modernize and ungrade there technology and beliefs.
