Copernicus and the trial of Galileo
Galileo was a solar physicists. Galileo came to Rome on February 13th 1633. He was summoned to Rome September 23, 1632. That's a year before he actually got there. Galileo was called to the Holly Office. As you may or may not no he was put on trail for saying that the sun is the center of the universe. Even though now a days we know that Galileo was telling the truth back in the 1600's the Catholic Church didn't believe in that. And they put him on trail for not going by there believes. As you may know the Church controlled everything from law, taxes, death, etc. Galileo was interrogated for the first time on April 12th 1633. The trail went on for a while. Then on June 22nd 1633 Galileo was forced to kneel in front of the Inquisition and take up the Catholic Church's believe.
